AUGUSTA, Maine (AP) — A bill to help Maine farmers respond to extreme weather through a new grant program has become law.
The bill signed Thursday by Democratic Gov. Janet Mills follows persistent drought conditions in 2020, delaying the potato harvest and hurting other growers across the state.
